Which statement correctly describes STOP signs and a police officer’s traffic directions?

Follow the officer’s stop or go directions carefully and indicate where you intend to go. If you stop at a STOP sign without police direction, you must still observe and give way before proceeding safely; stopping does not itself give you priority.
